Blogging tips & www social trends

Recently, I subscribed to ReviewMe (aff)… it seems to be a nice way to make money blogging.
Basically, you get paid for doing what you do for free. It’s like magic, isn’t it?
Your post should be at least 200 words long. Apart from that, you’r totally free:
I like that you can say “I don’t like this product” and “no thanks, I won’t review your stuff” whenever you want: this means you are totally free of express yourself.
The price an advertiser pays for the review goes from $30 to $500 (half to you and half to ReviewMe) and is based on few factors:
This means that you can earn from $15 to $250 from a single post.
www.mapelli.info has a review price of $60, this means that I can earn 30$ for each review…. It’s not bad, since my blog is still a small one, but I can do better (I think I can reach a better technorati rating with few more links, and I’d like to grow my rss feed subscribers base…)
The problem if you have a small site is that you simply don’t have enough visibility, and I don’t think that you’ll receive a lot of requests… but still, if someone wants you to blog about something, and wants to pay for it, why should you make him sad?
What do you think? Can this be a nice way to make money blogging? Are you subscribed to ReviewMe? Are you going to try it?

What a mistake, I was never paid for my reviews so far … !!! ;)
Well, it seems a valid service and the assumptions (no obligation for a positive review, or no obligation to post at all) are honest.
I’m just afraid of “what happens next ?” … if all the bloggers start to get paid for their reviews, I suppose that:
1. Positive reviews WILL be paid more than negative reviews.
2. If popular blogs are paid more, a lot of bloggers will start to cheat on their ratings.
3. A lot of blogs will start to publish ONLY reviews.
My thoughts:
1) that can really mean a bad shift for the blogosphere. I hope it won’t pollute too much the entire net.
2) there are a lot of things that are based on technorati / alexa / feedburner ratings, people are already trying to get better ranking but it’s not easy to cheat on this ratings… I don’t think that this payed review stuff will change something
3) and after that, nobody will read or link to that blogs again, and their review price will go down and they’ll understand they need their readers to be happy if they want to do something good.
Good answers !
Well, after reading the ReviewMe homepage, I don’t think that (2) would be really such an issue: advertisers do actually ’search’ for the best blogger that should write the review for their product - it means that not just the rating will affect the advertiser’s choice, but also the quality of contents, the consistency, the mood of the blog itself. With this stuff, well, you can’t cheat ..

I tried. It’s fun easy and i’m already cashing my first check.
I was just asking myself: “does it work ? Do they ask you for reviews or you have to be a very big blogger ?”
Nice post man! I’m going to have to try this one out! I just signed up for reviewme.
